Hideki Hashiguchi (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Hideki HashiguchiElected to the AIMA Japan board in June 2003.

Hideki Hashiguchi is a representative for HSBC Global Fund Services, the local presence of the Alternative Fund Services division of HSBC group specializing in providing fund administration services to offshore alternative investment funds.

Mr. Hashiguchi joined the former Bank of Bermuda* in early 2000 and has been working in the Sales and Client Relationships department of the bank's Global Fund Services Asia operation. In August 2003, he became the bank's lead representative in Japan when the former Bank of Bermuda set up an office in Japan and since has been responsible for the development and management of the bank's Alternative Fund Services business in Japan.

Mr. Hashiguchi has more than 20 years experience with a number of key financial institutions in Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.

Prior to joining the Bank of Bermuda, Mr. Hashiguchi was a Director of a Hedge Fund in Hong Kong responsible for both the marketing function and the management of the local operation. He had been in Hong Kong for 17 years.

Mr. Hashiguchi holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Seikei University, Tokyo.

*The Bank of Bermuda has become the HSBC group on 17th Feb 2004.

Shinichiro Shiraki (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Shinichiro Shiraki Elected to the AIMA Japan board in June 2001.

Mr Shiraki is CIO and Managing Director at Monex Alternative Investments, where he since 2005 has been in charge of investments and development of financial products mostly in the alternative assets area. He also works for Asuka Asset Management, one of the biggest hedge fund management firms in Japan, as vice president supporting strategy development.

Prior this role, he worked for Mitsubishi Tokyo UFJ Group (ex-Sanwa Bank) and launched a fund of funds investment business at UFJ Partners Investments in 2000. He also helped develop a Japan equity market neutral strategy for the group. He joined Sanwa Bank in 1993 and traded a variety of investments, including fixed income, as well as investing in hedge funds and private equity funds.

Mr Shiraki graduated from Keio University with a BA in Economics. He also graduated from London Business School with a Masters in Finance. He is a Chartered Member of the Security Analyst Association of Japan (passing two exams similar to CFA).

Ed Rogers (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Ed RogersElected to the AIMA Japan board in May 2002.

Ed Rogers is CEO of Tokyo-headquartered Rogers Investment Advisors, which opened in May 2006. RIA advises on two Japanese Hedge Funds. The funds launched on Nov. 1st. 2006 with investments in 13 Japan focused hedge funds.

Mr. Rogers was head of Prime Services sales for Deutsche Bank in Tokyo prior to opening RIA and a member of the DB Tokyo Equities Management committee from 2002-2006. Before joining DB Mr. Rogers was a proprietary structured products trader at Merrill Lynch in London.

Mr. Rogers Asian career began in 1987 when he was awarded a "Princeton in Asia Fellowship". Mr. Rogers worked in Tokyo for two years at NKK, formerly the second largest steel company in Japan, followed by eight years in the foreign exchange business at MW Marshalls. In 1993 Mr. Rogers moved to Hong Kong for four years to run regional Australian and Canadian swap product for M.W. Marshall.

Mr. Rogers appears frequently on Bloomberg and other news programs as a commentator on the Japanese economy and hedge fund investments in Japan.
Mr. Rogers received a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Takeshi Peter Itoh (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Takeshi Peter ItohElected to the AIMA Japan board in July 2003.

Mr. Itoh is a founding partner of Japan Venture Partners, LLC(JVP), a Delaware limited liability company that has principal offices in Tokyo, Research Triangle Park and Silicon Valley.
JVP is an Investment Advisory Company registered with the Japanese Financial Services Agency.

He has co-founded JVP, a company offers consulting services for international technology companies and financial institutions. Mr. Itoh plays an active role in introducing global hedge fund products to Japanese institutions, represents a mid-market U.S. private equity fund for deal sourcing and business development activity.

He has also provided financial advisory services to a number of corporations and financial service companies.

Prior to Co-founding JVP, Mr. Itoh was President and Representative Director of UBS Fund Management Japan whose functions included structuring and offering fund products to UBS' private banking clients and to Japanese banks that became fund distributors. Mr. Itoh's prior career included positions as Managing Director of Salomon Smith Barney, director at First Boston Corporation (Credit Suisse) and Vice President of Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Mr. Itoh received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics from Cambridge University and a B.A. degree in Management Science from Konan University. He is currently Chairman of Claritage Capial, LP, and serves on the board of Maxager Technology, Japan, Co.

Sadayuki Horie (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Sadayuki HorieElected to the AIMA Japan board in May 2005.

Sadayuki Horie is a senior researcher at the Nomura Research Institute (NRI) in Tokyo, the largest think tank in Japan. Mr. Horie has over 26 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Mr. Horie started his career as a quantitative analyst in fixed income analytics in 1981. In 1986, he developed the NRI-Bond Performance Index (later renamed as the Nomura BPI), which is now the industry standard. During 1986-88, he worked with Professor John Cox of MIT and Professor Robert Litzenberger of Wharton for the developments of exotic option models and the term structure model of US fixed income markets in the New York office. From 1996 to 2001, he was the head of the quantitative group of Nomura Asset Management, managing over $1bn through global tactical asset allocation and currency overlay funds. Mr. Horie wrote many articles in the Security Analysts Journal, Corporate Pension, Pension & Economics, Fund Management and other journals for last 26 years.

During 2001, he returned to NRI to work on pension fund consulting and advanced asset management research. Mr. Horie is a graduate of the Kobe University of Commerce and is a visiting professor of the graduate school of Osaka University of Economics.

Christopher P. Wells (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Christopher P. Wells Elected to the AIMA Japan board in October 2002.

Christopher Wells has worked as a lawyer in Japan since 1983. His practice is focused on financial regulatory, securities, banking, telecommunications and general corporate matters.

Mr Wells concentrates in financing and banking transactions, including cross-border securities offers, credit financings and syndications, equipment financings and securitization transactions. He has for almost a decade represented various United States, French, German and English banks providing credit in connection with Japanese equipment financings and securities offerings. Mr. Wells also assists multinational financial groups in issues related to regulatory compliance and license qualification matters in Japan. Mr. Wells' corporate experience includes representations in connection with the formation and subsequent operation of several of the largest multi-jurisdictional joint ventures in Japan. He also has assisted numerous United States, French, German and other foreign international corporate groups in the establishment of business presences in Japan.

Mr Wells has been the Chair of the Financial Services Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan since 1998. In that capacity he coordinates the activities of eight subcommittees covering the securities, banking and finance, investment management, insurance, private equity, real estate finance, pension and securitization and ratings industries in Japan.

The author of numerous industry publications over the past fifteen years, Mr Wells received his BA from the University of Rochester, his JD from the University of California and his MBA from the University of California.

Stanley Howard (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Stanley Howard is a Managing Partner at Teneo Partners Limited, a firm specializing in the marketing of hedge fund products to Japanese and Asian institutions as well as to institutional investors globally.

Prior to joining Teneo Partners, Mr. Howard was President Asia/Japan at Investor Select Advisors where he guided the firm's growth in Japan and Asia for over six years from 2000 to 2006.

Mr. Howard has over twenty-five years of experience in dealing with Japanese and Asian institutional investors. Before joining Investor Select Advisors in 2000, He has been involved in the Tokyo hedge fund market for several years, working with single managers, servicing Japanese institutional clients. Mr. Howard began his career in the investment and securities industry in 1986 at Smith Barney and also worked at Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Howard holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Andrew Hill (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Andrew HillElected to the AIMA Japan board in January 2007.

Andrew Hill is Director of Prime Finance sales at NikkoCiti Ltd.
He began his career in 1994 at Mitsubishi Bank in New York. Over the course of his career with Mitsubishi, Bank of New York and other major U.S. banks, Andrew has worked in securities industry banking, financial institutions, loan syndications, credit and operations. He has been responsible as a country officer for Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong.

Andrew graduated in 1994 from Wittenberg University with a Bachelor's degree in East Asian Studies.

Brad Resnik (AIMA Japan Board Member)

Brad ResnikElected to the AIMA Japan board in January 2007.

Brad Resnik joined the Deutsche Bank Group in 2000 and is currently based in Tokyo as a Director in Prime Brokerage Sales. His main responsibilities include servicing Hedge Funds globally trading the Japanese Market. Before moving to Tokyo in 2005, Mr Resnik worked in London and New York for Deutsche Bank's Global Equity Marketing team providing strategy and business development for the Cash business globally.

Mr Resnik qualified as Chartered Accountant (South Africa) with practical training at Gruzd Zets & Co in Johannesburg.

Mr Resnik received his BCom from WITS University (Johannesburg) and Commerce Honours degree from University of South Africa.
