| Regulatory Committee Chariman : Christopher P Wells |
The Regulatory Subcommittee reviews and monitors a variety of issues relevant to the alternative investment industry in Japan including the maintenance of an industry environment where regulatory restrictions are minimized, investor choice is maximized, and flexibility in the structuring of offshore and onshore hedge fund activities in Japan is preserved.
The Subcommittee also engages in information dissemination and lobbying activities with relevant regulators in Japan to ensure that member interests are protected.
The Regulatory Subcommittee coordinates closely with the Education and Research Subcommittee to ensure that regulatory changes of importance to the operation of hedge funds in and from Japan are brought to the attention of fund managers promptly.
